Humanities in Action

The Institute of Public Scholarship (IPS) serves as a gathering place for dialogue concerning Humanities in Action and acts as an incubator for the exchange of ideas among people in the wider community and public scholars.

OUR VISION: IPS employs the tools of “the academy” to generate just, restorative and sustainable solutions at the intersection of arts, humanities, and science; and serves community members seeking social, cultural, business, and environmental practices to ensure a long-term cultural presence for current and past residents.
